Financial planning 2021 and finalizing 2020 year end has started

Working in an accounting firm has a lot in common with working in the kitchen of a restaurant: it requires a lot of preparation, communication and spot-on timing. In this article we give you a bird’s eye view of the planning that goes into running an accounting office. We will end with a special request to all our clients.

While we are currently working hard on finalizing all FY19 financials, we are also looking forward to our planning for 2021. To ensure the highest standard for our services in the coming year, we rely on our customers to place their orders as soon as possible.

As you know, Baker Tilly compiles financial statements and prepares profit tax returns for many clients. It is in the nature of every accountant to be meticulous and perform at the highest level. This means we need to take our time for each client, to work accurately and meet every client’s specific needs. After all accountancy related work has been finalized, our tax team uses its expertise to prepare a profit tax return that complies with all applicable tax laws and regulations while maximizing the benefit to the client. All our work (accountancy as well as tax) is reviewed by colleagues to ensure accuracy. As you can imagine, this process takes time.

To ensure that we can keep up our high standard of service, we ask that you allow us the mise en place. By ensuring that we receive your 2020 administration at the beginning of 2021, you can help us to provide the best experience to all our clients.

We will contact you in the first quarter of 2021 to discuss the documentation and information we need to compile the FY20 financial statements. The sooner we receive the administration over 2020, the sooner you can leave the past behind you and focus on the future.
